Matt is a reporter-researcher at the Open Markets Institute. He works on a range of issues and leads drafting of Open Markets’ biweekly newsletter, The Corner, reporting, analyzing, and commenting on antitrust and monopoly issues in the political economy. His work has appeared in the Washington Monthly online and The New York Times.

Before coming to Open Markets, Matt worked as a paralegal at the Antitrust Division of the Department of Justice, where he helped investigate criminal cartel activity.
