Open Markets Director of Enforcement Strategy Sally Hubbard testified before the U.S. House Judiciary Committee’s Subcommittee on Antitrust, Commercial and Administrative Law on June 11, 2019.

Her testimony in the hearing on “Open Platforms and Market Power, Part 1: The Free and Diverse Press” argues that in the face of fundamental problems related to digital concentration — which pose a threat to democracy, individual liberties and our free press — Americans have faced similar challenges before at the turn of the 20th century and that we already have the legal tools available to address them.
