Columbia University Press published Usher’s book July 6, 2021.

Nikki Usher, an Illinois professor and senior fellow at Open Markets’ Center for Journalism & Liberty, published a book “News for the Rich, White, and Blue: How Place and Power Distort American Journalism,” on July 6, 2021. It’s a frank examination of the oft-downplayed inequalities driving not just America’s journalism crisis but also certain portions of the movement to save it.
