Open Markets Institute Applauds Demand Justice’s Release of Non-Corporate SCOTUS Candidates

Washington, DC -- The following is a statement from Sarah Miller, Deputy Director of the Open Markets Institute, in response to Demand Justice releasing 32 Supreme Court candidates - including Open Markets board member Zephyr Teachout - for consideration by the 2020 democratic presidential candidates:

Demand Justice's call to elevate a diverse slate of judges who will stand up to concentrated corporate power is essential for creating a just, inclusive economy and democracy. Democratic candidates should follow Demand Justice's lead and put forward a list of bold judicial nominees that are prepared to meet this anti-monopoly moment.
