WASHINGTON -Open Markets Institute Executive Director Barry Lynn released the following statement on the nomination of Rebecca Kelly Slaughter for another term as a Federal Trade Commissioner. 
 

“We are thrilled to hear President Biden will nominate Rebecca Kelly Slaughter for another term as a Federal Trade Commissioner. Recognizing that antimonopoly is the key to strengthening our democracy and promoting greater fairness in our economy, President Biden has made competition policy a central part of his economic agenda and has chosen three extremely talented commissioners in Slaughter, Lina Khan, and Alvaro Bedoya, to help lead the enforcement charge. We know Slaughter will continue to do important work for our country in her next term and we urge the Senate to quickly confirm her.”
