Jessica Brown is the Director of Development at Open Markets Institute. In this role, she is focused on organizational growth through forging meaningful relationships with donors and stakeholders. She is a strategic storyteller with over a decade of nonprofit resource development experience spanning across diverse sectors including media arts, social justice, human rights, and workforce development.
A native of Augusta, Georgia, Jessica graduated from Georgia Regents University with a degree in Communication Studies and Anthropology. Most recently, she earned a Master of Journalism degree from the Craig Newmark School of Journalism at CUNY.
Jessica is passionate about building power through community and finding creative outlets to connect with others. In her free time, she enjoys directing and producing short documentary films and completing DIY home improvement projects.
