Michelle Nie is an EU Tech Policy Fellow at the Open Markets Institute. She supports Open Markets' work on AI and emerging technologies, and their impact on society and democracy. 

Michelle's background spans multiple fields, including technology, consulting, education, and finance. Before joining Open Markets, she was a social impact consultant for Common Group, where she helped launch public grant programs for the State of Colorado to incentivize cross-sector partnerships. She has also served in client success at Guild Education, and edtech company, and in corporate finance at Salesforce in San Francisco. 

She holds a Master in Public Affairs from Sciences Po in Paris and a B.S. in Business Administration from UC Berkeley.
