Freedom From Facebook's Comment to the FTC's "Competition and Consumer Protection in the 21st Century" Hearing

The Freedom From Facebook coalition, spearheaded by the Open Markets Institute, submitted a letter to the Federal Trade Commission's "Competition and Consumer Protection in the 21st Century" Hearing on August 20, 2018. The letter includes the coalition's call for the FTC to break up Facebook’s monopoly on American social media by imposing structural remedies on the corporation and monetary penalties commensurate with its abuses of user privacy and democracy and provides the reasoning behind its call.
