Testimony by Open Markets Executive Director Barry Lynn at Senate Subcommittee Hearing on Promoting Competition in the Technology Sector
Open Markets Executive Director Barry Lynn testifies at the U.S. Senate Subcommittee on Fiscal Responsibility and Economic Growth’s hearing titled, “Promoting Competition, Growth, and Privacy Protection in the Technology Sector.”
In his testimony, Lynn speaks about the role that monopolization has played in creating the complex supply chain and production crises that threaten our economic and industrial security.
Just prior to Lynn’s testimony, Open Markets reporter Garphil Julien published, “To Fix the Supply Chain Mess, Take on Wall Street,” an in-depth article in The Washington Monthly. Julien indicts Wall Street financiers for destroying America’s decades-long leadership in semiconductor design and manufacturing, in ways that make all Americans more vulnerable to supply chain crises and shortages, and to potential coercion by foreign powers.
